Nourishing Futures: Join Our Sustainable Farm Vision
The Ken Ogelo Foundation is imagining a sustainable farm that will grow nutritious crops and poultry to feed and support our elderly community. While still in the planning phase, this initiative is full of possibility and promise, and we invite you to be part of shaping this new future.
Together, we can create a self-sustaining model that combines nutrition, dignity, and opportunity — building a healthier, thriving community for seniors and generations to come.
Our Market Garden
As part of our vision for the sustainable farm, the market garden will grow fresh, nutrient-rich fruits and vegetables for the elderly at the Ken Ogelo Centre.
Beyond providing daily nutrition, the garden will generate surplus produce for the community, creating a self-sustaining source of income to support the farm and expand its impact.
This garden is more than crops — it’s a living example of community empowerment, food security, and a healthier future for our seniors.
Investing In Food Security
At the heart of our sustainable farm vision are our chickens, starting with just twenty chickens and growing into a source of fresh eggs and nutritious meat for the elderly at the Ken Ogelo Centre.
This initiative will not only provide daily nutrition but also create a self-sustaining income through the eventual sale of surplus produce. Combined with our market garden, our poultry forms a core part of a thriving, community-led farm, designed to nourish, empower, and build a healthier future for seniors.
Our Well Of Possibility
Water for Growth: Help Us Build a Well.
To bring our sustainable farm to life, we need to raise funds to build a well, ensuring a reliable water supply for crops, poultry, and the elders we serve.
This well will not only keep the farm thriving, but it will also provide affordable water to the local community, creating a sustainable source of income to support the farm’s long-term impact.
By contributing, you can help nourish our elders, empower farmers, and grow a self-sustaining community resource.
